Bespoke Internal & External Doors

Handcrafted timber doors made to measure for period properties — designed to complement your home and built to last.

Doors That Belong in Your Home

Our expertise in period joinery extends naturally to doors. Whether you need a traditional hardwood front door for a Victorian terrace, a glazed internal door for a Georgian townhouse, or a bespoke door for a listed building that needs to satisfy planning requirements, we bring the same care and craftsmanship to every project.

Every door we supply is made to measure — not cut down from a standard size — and finished to the same exacting standard as our windows. We work in hardwood and softwood, in a wide range of styles, and with a variety of glazing and ironmongery options to suit your property and your preferences.

As with all our work, we are fully experienced in the requirements of conservation officers and listed building consent. If your project requires planning approval, we'll advise you from the outset and specify the door accordingly.

Our Door Styles

Traditional Panel Doors

Classic four, six, or eight-panel doors in hardwood or softwood — the authentic choice for Victorian, Edwardian, and Georgian properties. We match the panel arrangement and moulding profile to the character of your home.

Glazed & Part-Glazed Doors

Doors with single or double glazing panels — ideal for front doors where light into a hallway is important, or internal doors between reception rooms. Available in a wide range of glazing patterns including traditional leaded designs.

French Doors

Double-opening French doors in timber, either fully glazed or part-glazed, for openings to gardens, terraces, or between rooms. Made to your exact opening dimensions and finished to match your existing joinery.

Doors with Fanlights

A classic feature of Georgian and Victorian properties — a door with a fixed or opening fanlight above, either arched or rectangular. We can replicate an existing fanlight arrangement or design one sympathetic to the period of your property.

Internal Doors

Period-appropriate internal doors for every room — from simple four-panel designs to more elaborate styles with raised and fielded panels or decorative mouldings. All made to your exact dimensions for a perfect fit in original openings.

Listed Building & Conservation Suitable

We understand the specific requirements for doors in listed buildings and conservation areas, and will specify and finish your door accordingly. We can liaise with your local planning authority where approval is required.

The Same Standards as Our Windows

We apply exactly the same philosophy to our doors as to our windows — the belief that traditional craftsmanship and modern performance are not mutually exclusive, and that every detail matters.

  • Genuinely Made to Measure

Every door is manufactured to your exact opening — not cut down from a standard size. This is especially important in period properties where openings are rarely standard dimensions.

  • Quality Timber Throughout

We work in hardwood and softwood depending on the specification and your budget. All timber is carefully selected and properly prepared before use.

  • Properly Weatherproofed

External doors are fitted with high-quality draught-exclusion seals, appropriate thresholds, and correctly specified ironmongery for long-lasting weather resistance.

  • Installed to the Highest Standard

A door is only as good as its installation. Our team fits every door to ensure it hangs correctly, operates smoothly, and seals properly — with the finish you'd expect.
